Professor Simone Schürle-Finke works with engineers, chemists and biologists in developing tiny robots for use in the medical field. She dreams big about the very small.
Professor Tilman Esslinger researches and teaches in the Department of Physics. He brings light into the darkness of the quantum world.
Professor Philippe Block and his research group are looking for new constructional systems that allow construction using significantly fewer materials. He likes playing with blocks .
Anna Thumann
is in her third year of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Just after passing her first-year examinations, she co-developed the e-Sling electric aircraft. Her favourite song is

Philipp Furler founded ETH spin-off Synhelion with Gianluca Ambrosetti after completing his doctorate. Since the two of them started working with Swiss, their favourite drink has been a Campari Soda.
Professor Alessio Figalli has received the Fields Medal - the Nobel Prize in mathematics - for his contributions to the theory of optimal transportation. He goes through ten kilogrammes of chalk per year.
